What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic colleague who would have a well-developed understanding of strategies to manage and support young people with challenging behaviour in a school environment. This position is ideal if you have a proven ability to manage and motivate young people between the ages of 11-16.

You will manage Callington Community College’s Reset Room and create opportunities for reflection and repair work. You will treat students consistently with respect and consideration, and be concerned with their development as learners. You will engage students with learning to support their successful reintegration back in to lessons.

What the school offers its staff

You will be well supported by a range of colleagues who are focussed on behaviour management, and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met.

Commitment to safeguarding

Callington Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to receipt of satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance, which will include, if appropriate, a letter of good conduct from any country in which an applicant has worked or lived in within the last 5 years; plus prudent checks of references and employment history. The interview will include questions about safeguarding children.
