Behaviour Officer job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Officer to manage the day-to-day running of the Reset Room. The Behaviour Officer will support students with reflection on behaviours and independent work, managing the supervision, care and safety of students in the room. The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the Reset Room, in accordance with the school procedures and protocols.
  • Triaging logs in ClassCharts and communicating detention and Reset Room updates.
  • Managing the supervision, care and safety of students within the Reset Room.
  • Support the learning of students on reduced timetables for the time they are working in the Reset Room and liaise with staff as to their progress and well-being.
  • Support with behaviour meetings with parents/carers as required.
  • Manage lunch-time and after-school detentions.

The post is for 32.5 hours per week, 9.00am to 4.00pm, term time only (39 weeks a year).
