Behaviour Support Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint a committed Behaviour Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work with the Academy’s Behaviour Team to raise standards of student behaviour and conduct throughout the school day, both in the classroom and in and around the Academy. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of support staff. Teamwork and the community are at the heart of what we do.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a committed team player but also able to work on their own initiative
- have strong knowledge of behaviour management
- have a good academic standard of education, relevant experience and excellent organisational skills including use of IT
- have the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
- Be committed to Quarrydale Academy's ethos of high expectations

Quarrydale is a mixed 11-18 academy of around 1100 pupils, with approximately 130 sixth formers. We are situated in the town of Sutton-in-Ashfield, which is located between Sherwood Forest, the peak district and the City of Nottingham.
Connections to major conurbations in the region are excellent, housing is affordable and access to leisure facilities, and areas of cultural, natural and industrial heritage is good.
The academy itself is a popular and exciting place to work, with a friendly atmosphere and a real sense of team work.
The students are well behaved and Ofsted graded us as ‘Good’ in March 2017.
