Behaviour Support Assistant - Term Time Plus 5 INSET Days job summary
Required for September 2024. Stopsley High School is looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
The main purpose of this post is to supervise students in the Conduct Improvement Room, promoting good behaviour to improve learning.
To contribute to the pastoral care of all students in the school.
To work alongside the Senior Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for pastoral care.
To supervise the students in the Conduct Improvement Room (CIR).
Establish positive relationships with students placed in the CIR.
To provide challenge and motivation to ensure a calm working environment.
To ensure that students have access to all the equipment that they will need to work in silence in the CIR.
To ensure accurate records are maintained on Arbor (Management Information System).
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding and child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
Stopsley High School has been on a rapid improvement journey which included academising in September 2021 and joining the Middlesex Learning Trust. The School has benefitted from collaborative networking across the three schools, opportunities to showcase best practice and access to innovative training opportunities. All of this hard work culminated in an incredibly positive Ofsted in September 2022, in which the school was graded as “Good” in all five areas.
