Behaviour Support Assistant job summary
We are looking for someone to join our Alternative Provision Team as a Behaviour Support Assistant.
The role
Working under guidance, implement work programmes for individuals/groups which could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas, including behaviour support
To provide specialist support for students identified as needing behaviour support and have additional educational needs
To provide in class support for all students as directed by the Assistant Principal – Alternative Provision
We are looking for someone who:
• Has the ability to build strong positive relationships with students
• Is resilient and has experience in providing educational support with strong discipline
• Has enthusiasm, presence and authority with a positive, can-do attitude
• Is highly organised, motivated and driven to succeed
• Is able to support students who exhibit challenging behaviour
• Is a team member who will collaborate with colleagues to ensure feedback regarding students is consistent and constructive
