Behaviour Support Assistant job summary

We are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our friendly and enthusiastic team, to provide specialist support for students identified as needing behaviour support and have Additional Educational Needs, as well as in class support. The role will provide support to the teacher as well as supporting the classroom, occasionally requiring some class supervision. This role is 32 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. Salary Single Status Grade 5 - £15,261 to £15,563. The successful candidate will be someone who:
Is patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning
Is confident in running stimulating, fun and educational activities with children
Can build and encourage confidence in children, allowing them to lead their own learning when appropriate

The St Leonards Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 16-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We have a clear vision of what creates successful learners and how to implement it.
