Behaviour Support Assistant job summary
The Lantern provision will be, from September 2024, temporarily based within The New Horizon provision at Chantry Primary Academy. This will be until April 2025 when a new permanent home within the North Area Partnership of Luton is secured.
In Lantern we have an excellent reputation of working with pupils with SEND and we provide high quality and personalised support for children of all abilities. We work with and support 8 schools within the North partnership of Luton, with a maximum of 6 children receiving in-reach support at the Lantern Provision.
Working with children and returning them back into their mainstream setting as quickly as possible is the main aim of the Lantern provision, whilst offering a full curriculum with high expectations of what our pupils can achieve.
Due to the nature of pupils' needs, our teaching approach offers children opportunities to make choices and to direct their own learning within a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum differentiated to meet individual needs. Working therapeutically with pupils, we aim to identify the triggers which can prevent children from accessing learning and support them to develop strategies to overcome these.
We need an inspiring, innovative and impassioned Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Lantern SEMH Provision.

* Promote a calm and ordered learning environment, ensuring pupil behaviour does not interfere with other pupil learning.
