Behaviour Support Worker job summary
31 hours per week (8.45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday plus 1 hour training each Monday 3.20pm to 4.20pm)
Under the guidance of of the Class Teacher and Head of Pastoral Care as our Behaviour Support Worker based at Co-op Academy Southfield you'll
Provide one to one support for a named student, enabling them to access learning and increase independence; including strategies for managing behaviour, anxieties and emotional regulation
Provide personalised curriculum and pastoral interventions
Employ behaviour specific strategies and implement behaviour support plans/positive handling plans
Contribute to target setting and assessment
Develop good home-school communication
It is essential you have experience of working with young people with special educational needs or disabilities. Experience of behaviour management or physical intervention is also essential. As is being educated to GSCE English and Maths, or equivalent and you will possess NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.

Co-op Academy Southfield is part of The Co-op Academies Trust and are co-located with Co-op Academy Grange, a mainstream secondary Academy in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
