Strong communication and IT skills, good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential. You should be committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, and possess a patient and calm demeanor with a genuine desire to support and encourage students to achieve their best.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will provide pastoral support and assist with behaviour management, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students. You will be available for ‘Call Out’ when concerns are raised during the school day and work with students identified as underachieving or having behaviour/emotional needs, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Teamwork is essential in this role. You will collaborate closely with teachers, Support staff, the SENCo , the Behaviour Lead and the leadership to pinpoint and address the needs of students who require extra support. Your ability to communicate proficiently with parents will be key in fostering positive outcomes for students, providing them with the guidance and advice they need.

Keeping precise records of the support provided and participating in meetings about students' progress and welfare will be critical. You will also help create resource materials that encourage positive behaviours within the school. Your skills in de-escalation will be vital in handling challenging behaviours, and you will share and exemplify best practices with school staff to promote the development of positive behaviours.

Safeguarding is a core aspect of this role. You will adhere to statutory safeguarding guidance and our safeguarding and child protection policies. Working with the designated safeguarding lead (DSL), you will advocate for the best interests of pupils and share any concerns as needed.

Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. If you are ready to inspire, support, and lead, we look forward to your application.
