What skills and experience we're looking for

  • are enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • are willing to undertake personal care
  • are able to work effectively within our hardworking, talented and friendly team on whole school issues
  • enjoy working with children and can develop good working relationships with them
  • understand and are sympathetic to the needs of young children
  • have knowledge and experience of, or are willing to learn about, children with ASD and other specific learning difficulties
  • have experience of supporting children’s learning (a level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential)
  • have experience of or are willing to learn about delivering interventions to individuals or small groups
  • have a current First Aid or be prepared to undertake training
  • have an understanding of Thrive and/or a willingness to undergo training

This thriving Acorn Education Trust school is looking to appoint a Behavioural Support Assistant to work within our Early years.
