What skills and experience we're looking for
- are enthusiastic and self-motivated
- are willing to undertake personal care
- are able to work effectively within our hardworking, talented and friendly team on whole school issues
- enjoy working with children and can develop good working relationships with them
- understand and are sympathetic to the needs of young children
- have knowledge and experience of, or are willing to learn about, children with ASD and other specific learning difficulties
- have experience of supporting children’s learning (a level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential)
- have experience of or are willing to learn about delivering interventions to individuals or small groups
- have a current First Aid or be prepared to undertake training
- have an understanding of Thrive and/or a willingness to undergo training

This thriving Acorn Education Trust school is looking to appoint a Behavioural Support Assistant to work within our Early years. The Avenue Primary School is set in the charming market town of Warminster, Wiltshire. As part of the Acorn Education Trust it provides exciting opportunities to improve local education.
