Biology Teacher job summary
We are looking for an inspirational Biology teacher who would relish the opportunity to stretch and challenge our academically able students. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and NQTs and provide a comprehensive induction and CPD programme for teachers at all stages of their career.
There may be an opportunity for this post holder to also be 2nd in Charge with a focus on KS3, so if you wish to be considered for this additional responsibility, please make it clear in your application.
DGSB is on a very exciting journey and you would be joining us at an important moment in the school's history. Having retained our "Good " OFSTED designation, without condition, in October 2019 under a new and demanding inspection framework, we are now on the cusp of moving into an entirely new school which is currently being constructed on our top field. Our new accommodation will provide us with new and exciting opportunities both within our curriculum and within the wider community. Our school motto of "Fiat Lux" - "Let there be light" - has never been more appropriate or fitting!
If you are passionate about working with young people, relish a challenge and feel you have the necessary skills for this post, please apply.
Applications should include a completed application form, either through Kent Teach or the one found on the DGSB website, and a covering letter if applicable. If you have any questions, please contact the Headteacher's PA, Lizzie Reynolds, via email on lreynolds@dgsb.co.uk.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expect all staff to share in this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including an enhanced DBS check.
Commitment to safeguarding
