Breakfast club assistant job summary

We are looking for a fun, friendly and energetic individual to work as part of our breakfast club team. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • To provide full care for the children, including receiving them safely from their parents or carers, making sure they are signed over to the care of the school and delivering children to classes at start of the school day.
  • Assisting with the health, safety, welfare and healthy eating of children in the hall, until the start of morning school supervision.
  • Encourage social graces, the use of cutlery where required and assist with the meal process. To provide positive and firm control by implementing the school discipline/behaviour policy.
  • Set up and clear away tables and chairs, supervise the clearing away of eating utensils and recreational equipment and to clean up spillage where necessary.
  • Assist with any first aid that may be required prior to the morning school session commencing.
