We are looking for a Breakfast Club Assistant at Ilminster Avenue E-ACT Academy to supervise, guide and assist the children during the duration of breakfast club in both dining and play areas, so as to ensure the safety, general welfare and proper conduct of pupils and ensure that breakfast club is a positive and enjoyable experience. 


Key responsibilities

  • To set up cutlery, drinks and crockery for the children, and clear away as an when required.
  • Maintain a register of children attending, and supervise the children being seated.
  • To both prepare and serve the applicable breakfast options as and when children arrive at the club, and assist the children in selecting their choice of breakfast.
  • Assist in preparing the Breakfast Club facilities and activities to ensure the quality standards agreed are met.


Pay range

Salary: Actual Salary £1,942.60 (FTE £22,366)

Hours: 3.75 hours per week (07:45 - 08:30 Monday to Friday)

Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time only

Start Date: As soon as recruitment processes are complete


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • Awareness of child protection/safeguarding with up to date training (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Food Hygiene Safety certificate
