Breakfast Club Assistant

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Breakfast Club Assistant, based at Ivy Lane Primary School.

Hours:

5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am until 8.30am, working 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days

Salary range:

D4-D6, £24,404-£25,183 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £2764 - £2852 per annum).

Our school:

Ivy Lane School is a two-form entry Primary School in the centre of Chippenham, Wiltshire and is part of the Pickwick Academy Trust. We also have our on-site Sunflowers Nursery which accepts children from the age of 3 years old.

Role overview:

We are looking to appoint a committed and flexible Breakfast Club Assistant, to undertake the care of individuals or groups of children and support their learning and development before school.

Main Duties:

To ensure that the health and safety needs of each individual child are met at all times

To stimulate, encourage and develop children’s play in a positive way

To foster children’s language development and social skills through sustained shared thinking and the use of open-ended questioning.

Attend to the personal, social and emotional needs of individual children

To support the club leader in all aspects of the running of the club.

To assist with food preparation – a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate will be required or training will need to be undertaken
