Breakfast Club Assistant job summary

About this Role

We are seeking a friendly, reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to help our children start their day feeling safe, happy, and supported. This vital role contributes to pupils’ social development while maintaining a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment each morning.

This role is part-time, term-time, 1.25 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday, 5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise children during breakfast and morning activities, both in the dining hall and play areas.

Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and healthy eating habits.

Ensure children feel safe, included, and engaged in activities.

Assist with minor first aid or resolve small issues as they arise.

Help maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for all children.

Previous experience in a school, breakfast club, or childcare setting is helpful, but not essential.
