Breakfast Club assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a breakfast club assistant at St Thomas CE Academy to start on 1st September 2024. This is initially a fixed term contract until 31st July 2025.

You will be friendly, enthusiastic and be able to build a rapport with pupils. You will be the first point of contact for children at the start of the day and help to provide a light breakfast and calm environment as they come into school.

You will work as part of a team assisting the Pastoral Care Manager and Executive Headteacher.

Hours: 7:30am – 8.30am, Monday - Friday

We are looking to appoint a person who:

  • Loves children!
  • Has previous experience of working with children (desirable)
  • Has a cheerful, warm and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate with children and adults alike
  • is reliable, efficient, and flexible
  • is able to work as part of a team and is willing to learn
  • speak fluent English as in accordance with part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)
