Do you love creating a positive start to children's days?

Are you excited about making a real difference every morning at Upwood Primary Academy? If so, we want to hear from you!

Your role:

As a Breakfast Club Champion at Upwood Primary Academy, you will supervise students during the breakfast club period in the school hall, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the club, facilitating the provision of breakfast foods, and promoting our character curriculum values. Your role includes supporting positive behavior, administering first aid when necessary, and maintaining attendance records.

To excel in this role, you will be reliable, punctual and have good communication skills. You are willing to be flexible to work in different areas of the Academy and ideally you will be first aid trained. A commitment to working as part of a team and safeguarding children is essential.

About us:

Upwood Primary Academy is proud to be an early adopter school for the government's universal free breakfast club initiative. This landmark program aims to provide all primary-aged children with access to a free, nutritious breakfast and at least 30 minutes of free childcare every day. By joining our team as a Breakfast Club Champion, you will play a crucial role in implementing this initiative, ensuring that our students start their day ready to learn and succeed. This programme not only supports children's academic and social development but also helps families by reducing the cost of living and providing a reliable start to the school day.

At Upwood Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on our strong community spirit and active involvement. Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a registered charity made up of parents and teachers who volunteer their time to organise and support a wide range of educational, social, and fundraising activities. These events not only enhance the school experience for our students but also foster a sense of community and collaboration among families and staff. From sporting enrichment sessions to cultural celebrations like Lunar New Year, our school community is vibrant and engaged.
