What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to recruit a talented and skilled Education worker who is able, with support, to deliver English and/or Maths to GCSE level. The Bridges programmes have been developed to provide a comprehensive and integrated interim education package for vulnerable and challenging students. Education Workers will be responsible for not only delivering individualised education and personal development programmes, but also ensuring pupils return to long term education provision as quickly and successfully as possible.

As Education worker you will be:

  • highly motivated, with a passion for education
  • have bags of enthusiasm, patience and perseverance

What the school offers its staff

  • Meadowbrook College staff are both professional and resilient. There is a “can do” attitude that makes a real difference to the lives of our students; many of whom have become disengaged with education and lost the confidence to achieve their full potential
  • We offer a variety of opportunities for ongoing professional development for all staff
  • We are working in an ever-changing and expanding educational climate where the need for alternative provision solutions is increasing. Our provision is always adapting, and new opportunities are always evolving.

Commitment to safeguarding

Meadowbrook College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff and volunteers are also expected to promote fundamental British values. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that require applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed. On-line searches are carried out on those shortlisted
