The First Federation Trust a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools, across Devon and West Dorset are looking to appoint Two Nursery TA positions in their thriving nursery class at Brixington Primary Academy.
Brixington Primary is located in the northern edge of the coastal town of Exmouth with close links with the A376 and the M5.
We are looking for experienced professionals to support the expansion of our Nursery provision. Brixington is taking the exciting step of expanding the Nursery to include provision for 2-year-olds. We are looking to appoint TAs to help establish this new provision and work alongside 2-year-olds as well as other children in our EYFS setting.
The school provides a secure, nurturing and challenging learning environment with a family atmosphere, where the children come first and has an excellent partnership with parents/carers and the local community.
You would be working alongside a wonderful team of supportive staff with strong links through the Trust where there is continual collaboration linked to teaching and learning and nursery provision.
We are looking to appoint 2 initially fixed term positions as follows:
- Level 2 Nursery Assistant Grade B £12.45-£12.65 per hour (funding is available to complete this qualification if needed). Unqualified candidates are encouraged to apply as training can be offered.
- Level 3 Nursery Assistant Grade D £13.47-£14.36 per hour.
The role will require you to:
- provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting.
- work as part of a team, alongside the EYFS teacher, in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
- build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.

Part time applicants will be considered and there is a possibility that some before or after school hours will be offered in the future, too.
This role is initially fixed term until 31 August 2025.
