About the Role
City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Building and Facilities Manager starting in March 2025. In this exciting new role you will lead a team of premises staff, manage the school site and environment, inspect and carry out repair work, ensure that the site is health and safety compliant. You will have experience of working in a similar role in a school or college. Working hours for this role are 8.00am - 16.00pm. The role will require the post holder to have a flexible attitude to working hours i.e. prepared to work outside normal working hours and days when required, including out of hours and call outs. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you
You should have excellent leadership skills, be well organised and a team player.You will have the ability to build effective relationships with students and deal with unexpected situations during the school day. You must also be willing to undertake further training. You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
