£27,711 - £29,572
37 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 7.00am to 3.00pm Friday 7.00am to 2.30pm)
Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for maintaining safe and efficient school environments? Byron Wood Academy is seeking a Buildings Officer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Role Summary:
As a Buildings Officer, you will:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage and administer budgets for maintenance, grounds maintenance, cleaning, and utilities.
- Oversee the provision and use of materials and equipment.
- Hold and manage keys, ensuring the security of all buildings.
- Liaise with emergency services and contractors.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Support outside agencies using school facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the school grounds.

- Has experience in premises or trade work.
- Holds high standards and is willing to learn and undertake training.
- Is organised, uses their own initiative, and works well as part of a team.

- Is proactive and approaches challenges pragmatically to ensure the best outcome for students and the wider academy team.
