What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful applicant will:
- Have a range of practical DIY skills and show attention to detail
- Have problem solving skills
- Have a good awareness of Health and Safety, Fire Safety, security and hygiene issues
- Ensure high standards of compliance are maintained
- Be thorough and rigorous in completing routine daily / weekly / monthly checks
- Be highly organised, able to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Be self-directed whilst also able to follow instructions
- Be reliable and trustworthy
- Be able to work effectively as part of a wider team
- Be able to form positive relationships with staff and students. Have good communication skills
- Act as a designated on-call key holder providing out of hours and emergency response to alarms if necessary
- Be flexible in working patterns and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the site is maintained to the best possible standard
- Have the ability to adapt to changing and conflicting demands at short notice
- Have the ability to prioritise and manage workflow whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests
- Complete all necessary training

We are looking for a conscientious, flexible, committed Building Supervisor to join our improving school.
The person should be hardworking and enthusiastic and ready to join afriendly team of staff. The person should be able to prioritise work, be self-sufficient and be able to work independently.
