Bursar and Health & Safety Manager with Facilities Management job summary

About Us: Finch Woods Academy is a specialist co-education provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The academy is on a rapid improvement journey, having been deemed to be ‘Inadequate’ by Ofsted at its inspection in October 2023. Ofsted now view the school as on a journey to Good or better, and the role of Bursar is a key position, playing a crucial role in school improvement.

Key Requirements: In addition to the above, the post-holder will organise and take effective responsibility for Administration, Finance and Human Resources. The Bursar will also lead and manage a small team of administrative assistants and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and the Local Advisory Board (Governors) Finance Committee.

If you think you have the skills and attributes to join our team, please get in touch to organise a visit prior to making an application, we would love to hear from you.

Candidates should contact Michele Brennan at Finch Woods Academy on 0151 271 3288 or admin@finchwoodsacademy.net to arrange a visit.

Please read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details.

The selection process will include an interview and job related task(s) to be held on Tuesday 25th February 2025.

This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which may indicate that you are unsuitable to work with children, and that we may want to explore with you at interview.
