About Us

Sherbrook Primary School is a generic special school for pupils aged 2 to 11 years who live in Cannock and the surrounding areas. We are an inclusive school that has the specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of children with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. This includes those with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

This would be an ideal development opportunity for an experienced School Administrator or a promotion for a School Business Manager.

Please note pay is consummate with Knowledge, Skills and Experience. Grade 9 salary when fully trained.

Key Requirements:

The post-holder will organise and take effective responsibility for Administration, Finance and Human Resources within the School. The Bursar will also lead and manage a small team of administrative assistants and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for:

Essential

  • 3 years' experience working in a busy school environment
  • Business administration experience
  • Experience of working within a multifunctional environment
  • Ability to relate well to children and to adults
  • Good organising, planning and prioritising skills
  • NVQ 3 Business and Administration, or equivalent qualification, or experience in relevant discipline
  • Willing to work towards NVQ 4 Business and Administration, NCSL Certificate in School Business Management, or AAT Technician or equivalent qualification

Desirable

  • Supervisor experience
  • NVQ 4 Business and Administration, NCSL Certificate in School Business Management, or AAT Technician or equivalent qualification, or experience in relevant discipline
