Business Administration Apprentice job summary

Ormiston NEW Academy, recently graded Ofsted 'Good', is a school based on a clear and defined pedagogical model and explicitly taught behavioural norms. The latest inspection report praises the school’s leaders for creating a "culture where positive behaviour and discipline are celebrated". It says that NEW Academy is a “vibrant school”, that students “enjoy coming to” and where they are “safe”. Students at NEW Academy understand that they must try their best and strive for excellence at all times,” In the most recent Ofsted inspection one student told inspectors, “I know that today will not be my best, because tomorrow will be better”.

We are looking to appoint a Business Administration Apprentice to work in our academy. The successful applicant will be tasked with a range of administrative and clerical duties including answering calls, sending emails, filing, building reports and assisting with the exams and the finance departments.

We expect you to hold qualifications that demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy. As part of this placement, you will be expected to undertake off the job training. See Job description for full details.

Ormiston NEW Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds. With 764 students on roll, we provide a vibrant learning environment with first-class facilities. Hours: Full time Mon-Fri (37 hours per week) term time plus 2 weeks and INSET days.
