We are seeking a Business Manager to join our outstanding, vibrant and forward-looking school.

Joining our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of vital non-teaching functions including finance, human resources and on-site facilities services.

To succeed, you should have significant experience of strategic financial planning and the ability to secure effective services. You will also need the ability to establish, lead and develop our teams and manage large-scale projects to fruition.

Essential educational requirements

Educated to at least A level (or equivalent) standard.
A Professional qualification in relevant discipline. e.g., ACCA, AAT, FMAAT, CIPFA .
Evidence of continuing Professional Development

Essential skills and experience

Experience of: preparation, management & monitoring of large- scale budgets/projects using appropriate budgetary systems; robust budgetary management/control processes, applying principles of best value to procurement and contract management; effective management of a team of people covering a variety of organisation functions.
Strategic thinker: able to effectively consider how best to integrate business processes, governance, people & technology to secure sustained organisational performance. Resilience and determination in problem solving, meeting deadlines and achieving outcomes. Ability to communicate effectively, eg, with colleagues, Trustees, Governors, parents, students, DfE, ESFA and other key stakeholders. Ability to access, analyse and interpret data and information. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills across a range of internal/external stakeholders at all levels. Able to use data/benchmarking to set targets to monitor whole school performance.
