Who we are:
We are a successful, dynamic and forward thinking Business Studies and Economics department with a strong emphasis on developing teachers. The team are constantly reflecting and sharing ideas and are aided by a Head of Department and members of the Senior Leadership Team to encourage and facilitate this behaviour. Our success rates at GCSE and A Level are strong and uptake at both KS4 and KS5 are high.
The department prides itself on its innovation and excellence in moving practice on to support student development.
As a National Teaching School, Southfields Academy offers a comprehensive and well thought of support programme for NQTs led by Senior Staff.
Southfields Academy is a thriving non-selective secondary academy located in south west London, with excellent facilities and set in attractive grounds.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a motivated and inspiring teacher who is a specialist in Business Studies and will be able to teach their specialism to students of all abilities up to A Level. Candidates will need excellent planning skills, good classroom management and be able to teach in a variety of teaching and learning styles. This post would suit an N.Q.T. or an experienced teacher. We are mostly looking for a like-minded candidate whose philosophy of education is based on developing Business and Economic education and thinking and who is prepared to deliver this to students from a wide range of backgrounds.
