Highcrest offers both an excellent induction and support programme for NQTs and an innovative and extensive CPD package for more experienced teachers. This provision of training has been praised as outstanding by an external assessor and highlighted in the local press. For NQTs, we provide weekly CPD meetings with experienced members of staff, time-tabled and protected Mentor Meetings on a weekly basis, subject knowledge time with departments and an extensive personalised CPD plan. We are seeking to appoint an excellent Business Teacher to join our Business Studies and Computer Science department.

Committed to raising attainment, you will have the ability to motivate our students to succeed to the highest levels. The ability to offer a second subject would be advantageous.

Business Studies courses for KS4 and 5 are offered within the Business and Computing department. There is an experienced Head of Department who leads a team of committed and established specialists. The school offers a broad range of Business courses and has a particularly strong and popular Sixth Form Business Studies programme. The number of Sixth Form students taking the subject has grown year on year. Our recently opened Sixth Form centre offers state-of-the-art facilities, used extensively by students studying Business Studies and Computer Science in KS5. We have an established Young Enterprise Club as well as the Business and Computing lunchtime club.
