What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a well-qualified, highly motivated and reflective Careers Advisor to strengthen our Careers provision providing a first class service to our students across our Secondary School within NSAT. You will be able to demonstrate up-to-date careers knowledge and have an awareness of current educational developments. You will be a confident practitioner who has a strong rapport with students of all abilities. You will be adept in creating a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for students of all diverse backgrounds.
As a careers advisor, you will be involved in exciting and rewarding things like:
- Individualised, planning, delivery of advice and guidance, knowing when and how to differentiate appropriately using approaches that enable students to engage in a way that they feel confident.
- Helping young people draw up action plans for employment, education and training and support them to achieve these goals. This will include a high standard of planning and delivery of the programme whilst supporting the individual needs of the student
- Participating in the completion and monitoring of students and being accountable for student’s attainment, progress, and outcomes with your specialism.
- Liaising and negotiating with Employers, Colleges, Universities, and training providers to provide the best opportunities for our students.
