Job Title: Careers and Pathway Leader.

Actual Annual Salary: £11,343 - £12,856 Based on 14 hours per week, Term Time Only.

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £35,852 - £39,679 (CLF Grade E). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract Type: Permanent.

Hours: Part-Time, 14 hours per week, Term Time Only.

Do you have experience in careers guidance and a passion for helping students develop employability skills, make informed decisions, and prepare applications for future jobs or further education?

The Careers and Pathways Leader will be responsible for delivering an outstanding careers provision which reflects local and national initiatives and priorities, with the aim of raising students’ aspirations and ambition.

This role will contribute in meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks: Ensuring that employability is embedded into the Academy’s curriculum and culture. That 100% of students have appropriate destinations, reporting to the LA and the Academy SLT. Provide high quality and impartial careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) to students as well as develop employability skills in students, linking with local businesses to ensure that opportunities are offered for work placements, enriching the experience of all our learners.

About you:

You will:

• Hold a Level 6 qualification in professional careers guidance or demonstrate a strong commitment to working towards achieving this qualification.

• Have knowledge and experience of methods of delivering careers information, advice and guidance, ideally to young individuals.

• Have an excellent standard of oral and written communication skills.

• Be highly organised in managing a diary and appointments, able to manage time to be both proactive and reactive.

• Be comfortable delivering group talks, activities and facilitating work with groups.

• Have an understanding of relevant policies/code of practice and awareness of relevant legislation. Have a commitment to keep abreast of local and national initiatives and changes to legislation.
