What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a part-time Careers Lead to:

  • Offer good quality, impartial careers guidance that helps young people to progress and empowers them to plan and manage their own futures.
  • Respond to the needs of each individual and supports them in their career pathway.
  • Provide comprehensive information and advice to students and staff on available opportunities.
  • Raise aspirations and actively promote all opportunities and challenges stereotypes
  • Work with the work experience co-ordinator.

Ideally candidates will have knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmark, however training could be possible for the right applicant.

The person we are looking for should ideally:

  • Have experience of delivering Careers guidance/advice to young people.
  • Be a creative, hardworking, lateral thinker.
  • Have excellent personal organisational skills.
  • Be a very good team worker with the capacity to build relationships at all levels across the organisation.
  • Be committed to the broader education of young people.
  • Possess ICT skills to a high level
  • Possess relevant qualifications/professional development.
