What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a part-time Careers Lead to:
- Offer good quality, impartial careers guidance that helps young people to progress and empowers them to plan and manage their own futures.
- Respond to the needs of each individual and supports them in their career pathway.
- Provide comprehensive information and advice to students and staff on available opportunities.
- Raise aspirations and actively promote all opportunities and challenges stereotypes
- Work with the work experience co-ordinator.
Ideally candidates will have knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmark, however training could be possible for the right applicant.
The person we are looking for should ideally:
- Have experience of delivering Careers guidance/advice to young people.
- Be a creative, hardworking, lateral thinker.
- Have excellent personal organisational skills.
- Be a very good team worker with the capacity to build relationships at all levels across the organisation.
- Be committed to the broader education of young people.
- Possess ICT skills to a high level
- Possess relevant qualifications/professional development.
