What skills and experience we're looking for

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled careers officer to join our outstanding workforce and continue to develop and grow a careers department with school wide impact. Having opened in 2019, the school opened its sixth form in September 2024 and currently has its first cohort of Year 12s. This is a vital moment in the school’s development as these year 12s will take the first set of A levels in the summer of 2026 and as the careers provision matures to accommodate a post 16 programme. The school is looking to grow the careers department with work experience and further careers support. This is therefore a unique and exciting opportunity to grow and department and develop a team.

Applications are invited from charismatic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidates. We are looking for a self-starter who can work strategically and relishes the challenge of developing a role and inspiring students.

Trinity Academy is a special place, dedicated to meeting the needs and aspirations of all our students. We are forward looking, ambitious and blessed with world class facilities. Unashamedly values driven, with passionate, talented and enthusiastic staff and governors, united by our mission to be world class. For those who share our values and beliefs, this is an exciting time to join us in our journey to transform lives through education.

What the school offers its staff

  • The chance to join a growing organisation during an extremely exciting time, with the opportunity for development.

  • Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

  • Employees can join our cycle-to-work scheme.

  • A 24/7 employee assistance programme which provides counselling, support and advice on a wide array of areas.

  • Considerable opportunity for career development both within the school and across the Cathedral Schools Trust.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. The post is subject to satisfactory completion of all vetting checks including the provision of two strong references and an enhanced DBS check.
