Careers Leader job summary
We are looking for an inspirational Careers Leader to plan and implement a strategy for developing a Career Programme for the Academy that meets all eight of the Gatsby benchmarks of good practice and prepares young people for the choices and transitions in education, training and employment.
Working for 17 hours per week school term time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year), you will be providing professional career guidance services, including personal guidance interviews, in order to improve pupils’ skills, knowledge and understanding for career planning and management. The post holder will be expected to hold or be prepared to work towards the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. Additional working hours may be available if required, depending on the candidate. There will be an opportunity to discuss this at interview.
