Careers Officer job summary
St Claudine’s Catholic School for Girls is a highly-successful Catholic girls’ comprehensive school (ages 11-18) in the northwest London Borough of Brent. We require Careers Officer, to start in September 2025.
St Claudine’s is rooted in the Gospel values in a warm, supportive and nurturing community. Even though we are a Catholic School, it is not a requirement to be Catholic and our international community welcomes staff and students of all faiths and none. Behaviour at the school is outstanding and students are educated via a rich and diverse, holistic curriculum to become confident, articulate and independent young people.
We require a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Careers Officer to join our lively and happy school. Our students deserve the best and our mission is to provide them with opportunities to widen their experience and inform their choices about their next steps after education. The Careers Officer will plan a dynamic and forward thinking curriculum for each year group to experience careers-related activities and will assist our older students in their chosen pathways towards university, college apprenticeships or employment. Careers Education is delivered within the Relationships, Social and Health education curriculum as well as via a range of planned presentations and guest speakers, trips and visits. The Careers Officer will work closely with the Heads of Year, Heads of Department and the 6th Form team to seek out, plan and organise careers activities for our year groups and will also be responsible for organising and overseeing our annual in-school Careers Fair.
The role is very rewarding and provides a real opportunity to make difference to the lives of our students.
An up to date and good working knowledge of the Gatsby benchmarks and the ability to make and foster good working relationships with a range of stakeholders, employers and other contacts are necessary requirements of the role.
Although we are a Catholic school, it is not a requirement for candidates to be catholic. Our multicultural and multifaith school welcomes applicants of all faiths and no faith.
