Caretaker job summary
Polden Bower School are looking for a part time caretaker to join the existing team working across Polden Bower School and The Bridge School Sedgemoor.
20 hours per week term time (plus INSET days) 3.30pm - 7.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a permanent post.
Grade 14 position approximately £11,296- £11,656 per annum depending on experience.
Due to an expanding team, we are seeking a flexible, practical and dedicated caretaker to support the end of day operations of a busy partnership of schools. There is a requirement for the successful candidate to be able to make minor repairs, respond to damage and other incidents and to support the smooth workings of a school. There may be occasions when a change of hours is required to meet the demands of the school and there may be an opportunity of additional hours when covering leave of other team members. A general understanding of health & safety is required including working at height, COSHH, use of power tools etc. Training will be provided in a range of areas to support the role.
You will need to be a good team player and confident with working in a busy environment. You may need to open and lock the building for pre-arranged lettings. You will ideally be able to drive and be willing to move between different sites throughout the day and be happy to drive the school vehicles.
