What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Caretaker and minibus driver to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for our school buildings and grounds including cleanliness, security, porterage, routine maintenance, repairs and refurbishment and contribute to the improvements of the general school environment.
The successful candidate will have good practical skills, a positive attitude and the ability to prioritise your workload. Experience in maintenance or DIY tasks ideally within a school environment with practical related experience and a good understanding of Health and Safety is essential.
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels to support staff with adhoc maintenance and assist with project works whilst providing a responsive and re-active site service is key in ensuring success in this post.
Working full-time, core hours Monday to Friday. :- 07:30 – 15:45, (Monday to Wednesday) and 07:30 - 15:30 (Thursday and Friday). with a 45 minute lunch break. The post holder must be flexible to support the needs of the school and have the ability to adapt their hours accordingly to support our private lettings during evenings and weekends. As a school keyholder you may be required to attend out of hours emergencies and be willing to drive our school minibuses to support the needs of our students.
