Caretaker/Cleaner job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the estates management team at Tarvin Primary School. The postholder will work as part of a team providing site maintenance services to the school.
The post is term time only (38 weeks) plus INSET Days (1 week) and two weeks within the school holidays over the school year to be agreed with your Line Manager (total 41 weeks per year). The hours of work will be as follows: 06.00 to 11.00 Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
The successful candidate will receive paid public holidays and be required to take their leave during school closure periods i.e. as a part year worker, you will not be required to work 11 of the 13 weeks school holidays. The Gross Salary has been adjusted to take account of this and you will receive 12 equal monthly salary payments. Paid sick leave in accordance with length of service.
The postholder will also be automatically enrolled in the Cheshire Pension Fund (a Local Government Pension Scheme) with a very generous employer’ contribution rate.
A full clean driving licence is essential. Previous experience of working in an educational environment would be desirable but is not essential.
