What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting position has arisen at TWGSB for a suitably skilled, reliable and self-motivated Caretaker to join our friendly and well-respected Site team. This role will be working at both campuses.
This position will be responsible for assisting in the cleaning, maintenance and caretaking activities at the school, as directed by the Facilities Manager and Head Caretaker. They will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and cleaning and skills in a number of caretaking disciplines.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. A typical working pattern for this position will be 8am until 4pm, three days at Tunbridge Wells and two days at Sevenoaks, although this may vary depending on the needs of campus, as well as holiday cover and any sickness.
Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate. This is an all-year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 27 days holiday
