Caretaker job summary
Our experienced Head teacher and her supportive senior leadership team are looking for Caretaker to join their support team. This role is part time, working Monday – Friday, 20 hours per week. The working pattern can be flexible with the following working hours available, Split shift to include opening and locking up with the hours being as follows, 06.30-08.30 and 16.30-18.30 or the afternoon shift which would be 14.30-18.30. This contract is term time only plus 3 additional weeks, as required by the school.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring the premises and grounds are safe, warm, clean and properly maintained.
Movement of heavy goods.
Cleaning responsibilities including supervision, organisation and monitoring of cleaners, ordering cleaning materials, clearing of paths, drains, gullies etc. and salting frozen paths.
Maintenance duties including general handyperson repairs to furniture and fabric, reporting when more major repairs are required, directing contractors.
