Caretaker (onsite accommodation available) job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised, committed and enthusiastic caretaker to help develop and maintain our outstanding learning environment to support the smooth running of the school. We are seeking to recruit a colleague who can relate well to staff and children, effectively prioritise, and show initiative by seeking and actioning improvements to our school. We are looking for team-player who can act with integrity to make St mark and All Saints Primary School a better place for the children, staff and community. Do you have the practical caretaking, gardening and maintenance skills to make a difference to our school environment?

St Mark and All Saints Primary School and Nursery is a one form entry Primary School within easy reach of

Guildford and the A3. St Mark and All Saints is part of The Good Shepherd Trust Academy and has well-resourced classrooms and a supportive staff team. We also have a Maternity Hub on site that is open 7 days a week, all year round.

You will need to be positive and professional as well as being flexible to the demands of the role.

We are looking for an individual that:

Takes pride in their work and helps create a welcoming learning environment inside and outside the school

Thrives working in a school environment

Shows initiative, is proactive and a team player

Has extensive DIY knowledge

Has a good level of maintenance experience involving minor carpentry and plumbing

Is proactive in resolving problems

Has a sound understanding of Health & Safety and is willing to receive further training

Is able to work on own initiative and under pressure with a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our wonderful school

A four-bedroom chalet bungalow, with a garden and garage. The property is an ideal family home and is a detached Chalet bungalow situated onsite. A nominal fee of 12.5% of basic salary will be charged for service occupancy and all household utility costs will be the responsibility of the individual.
