Caretaker job summary

We are looking for a reliable, flexible well organised individual to join our site team who work across two adjoining sites Ormiston Endeavour Academy and Thomas Wolsey. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

The School Caretaker is a key role in maintaining the operation of the academy site both during the school day and during school closure periods, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the whole academy community. Our Caretaker will work 16 hours per week across two days for 39 working weeks per year (Term time plus one week).

Ormiston Endeavour Academy is an 11-16 secondary Academy situated on the outskirts of Ipswich. With significant student growth over the last two academic years, we take pride in the high levels of support, care and challenge we offer all of our students. Endeavour students are warm, welcoming and willing to push themselves to succeed. Our fantastic staff are committed to providing a caring yet challenging environment in which young people can learn, develop and thrive.

Our new colleague will also benefit from being part of Ormiston Academies Trust, a MAT of 43 primary and secondary academies.
