Caretaker job summary
St John Fisher Catholic Primary School is a joyful, diverse and welcoming community in Littlemore. Working under the guidance of the Headteacher and School Business Manager, the Caretaker will take pride in ensuring that our site is safe, clean, secure and well maintained. You will follow an agreed schedule of work and be a key part of keeping our school running smoothly.
This is a practical, hands-on role that would suit someone who is reliable, proactive and enjoys taking ownership of their work. It is a demanding but highly rewarding position where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will:
Be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Have practical skills and enjoys hands-on work
Take pride in maintaining high standards across the school site
Be organised, flexible and able to manage a varied workload
Have a positive attitude and a warm approach to children, staff and visitors
Be willing to uphold our Catholic ethos

St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, a member of the Pope Francis Multi Academy Company (PFMAC) is a fully inclusive faith school located in the parishes of Sacred Heart and Blessed Dominic Barberi, Oxford. Our school is based between Blackbird Leys and Littlemore and are a short cycle ride into the city centre. The school is single- form entry and caters for 230 children from 3 to 11 years old (Nursery through to Year 6). We have an incredibly diverse pupil roll, which we celebrate, and which forms a key element of our identity. We are a rapidly improving school, looking for someone to join us on the journey.
