Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B). Based on 37 hours per week.

We are seeking a Casual Clerk to the Academy Council to provide vital administrative and organisational support to our Academy Councils across our federation on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is a casual role, ideal for someone looking to contribute their skills in a part-time capacity, with work scheduled around council meeting dates. This flexible role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, professional, and passionate about supporting governance in education.
As a Casual Clerk, you’ll play an important role in helping meetings run smoothly, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting council members in fulfilling their responsibilities. You’ll work closely with Principals, Chairs of Academy Councils, and the wider governance team to uphold high standards and contribute to the effective running of our academies.
About you:
You will have:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience in preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital tools to produce accurate and professional documents.
- Discretion and reliability, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and in line with data protection legislation.
- A flexible and proactive approach, able to manage deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including parents, council members, and academy staff.
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and equity in education.
- Knowledge of governance procedures and legislation (desirable), or a willingness to learn through training and support.
