Casual Exam Invigilator job summary
We have an exciting new opportunity for enthusiastic, proactive individuals to join our bank of Exam Invigilators at our outstanding secondary school. It is a casual zero hours based role with sessions offered throughout the year dependent on the volume of exams. We welcome applications from those who are seeking occasional work with periods of the year having a greater demand than others.
Working hours are typically from 8.30am until 12.30pm for a morning session and 12.30pm until 4.00pm for an afternoon session. Flexibility is crucial to the effective invigilation of exams.
These appointments are offered on a casual basis depending upon the examination timetables of the school.
This role is essential to the smooth running and integrity of the examination process. In addition to ensuring JCQ regulations are followed at all times, the successful applicants will be responsible for setting out and collecting exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam venues, supervising during the exams and collating the exam papers to be sent off to the exam boards.
You must be reliable, confident and responsible and be able to deal calmly and appropriately with students to assist them in sitting their exams. Exam invigilation experience or an understanding of school environments is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
