Temporary Senior First Aider job summary

Administer first aid care to sick or injured students during the school day and after-school activities in the first instance and contacting parents/carers, ensuring that all the School’s procedures are fully complied with.

Be responsible for the administration of medicines within the School, maintaining confidential records and keeping medicines in accordance with the Department for Education and Department of Health guidelines.

Maintain the medical cupboard and first aid kits/medical facilities throughout the school and ordering supplies as required.

Organise required student check-ups/immunisations by visiting health professionals.

We are looking for a temporary Senior First Aider to start in January 2025 to cover staff absence on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be someone with a current First Aid at Work certificate; we can arrange refresher training if required. Some experience of working with young people of secondary school age is essential. Experience of MS Office, Google Docs and use of a MIS database is desirable.
