Contract: Permanent, Part time

Hours: 10 hours, 38 weeks (term time only)

Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 12pm – 2pm

Salary: Pathway 1 Point 2-3, £5,114.89 - £5,199.73 (FTE £22,366 – £22,737) per annum

If so, we would love you to apply for this role of Catering Assistant/Driver.

Your role:

As a Catering Assistant/Driver at Thomas Deacon Academy, you will be responsible for packing and delivering hot lunches and other items to another school, assisting with food preparation and general cleaning duties, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety. You will also promote a positive atmosphere within the refectory area and ensure the catering vehicle is kept clean and fully charged. You must be willing to drive an automatic van and be able to handle and move insulated food boxes. Your role will require commitment to excellence, curiosity to continuously improve, and the courage to take on new challenges.

To be successful in this role, you must have an NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Production or equivalent, a CIEH Level 2 award in Food Safety, and a full, clean driving license. You should have experience in volume catering, excellent customer care skills, and the ability to work well with children, young people, staff, and other adults.
