What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to support the Catering function in Springwell schools by providing high quality meals to learners.

We are committed to doing everything possible to ensure children get nutritious meals at school. The post holder will need a passion for catering and an interest in creating nutritional and healthy meals. Experience of working in education settings would be advantageous.

Applicants will need to have the skills and organisation to carry out all duties as expected in a delivered in catering department; to ensure high level of customer service during service.

We are looking for applicants with experience in a catering role, who are flexible to meet the needs of our learners. You will need to have Food Safety Level 2 and be able to use a computer, or be willing to undertake the training required. They will have a good level of understanding in respect of record keeping and procedures such as, health and safety, allergen control and food safety.

Flexible working opportunities

Please note that we offer day time working (no weekends or evenings) and can offer flexibility with working hours to work around any existing commitments i.e. child collection times.
