What skills and experience we're looking for

1.1 Deliver a high-quality service.

1.2 To serve food to students, staff and visitors.

1.3 To assist in the supervision of students in the dining area to ensure behaviour and tidiness is maintained.

1.4 To be aware of relevant food hygiene regulations and ensure they are implemented.

1.5 To follow all internal health and safety procedures which may be in force from time to time.

1.6 To receive deliveries of stock, and ensure they are stored in the kitchens correctly and displayed appropriately in each area of the kitchen.

1.7 To be involved in the preparation of food in accordance with the daily menus as directed by the Catering Manager.

1.8 To operate tills in catering areas as and when required.

1.9 The operation of the Cash Register including the daily cash analysis to ensure that the print-out and cash amount balance.

1.10 To assist in the production of a monthly stock take for food and equipment.

1.11 To undertake the cleaning of the kitchen area and all utensils and equipment in the area to the required Health & Safety standards and removal of kitchen waste to the external bin area.

1.12 To undertake training offered that is necessary for the proper performance of the post.

1.13 Any other duties which may be reasonably required by the Catering Manager.
