Catering Manager - 31.25 hours a week, 39 weeks per year. job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Manager to become a member of our friendly and supportive school team.

The hours are 31.25 hours per week over 39 weeks per year.

This role will include leading the delivery of a diversified catering offer, maximising the output and opportunities from the Orestaurant facilities, including:

• Creating and delivering high quality, nutritious school meals, increasing pupil uptake and satisfaction whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Managing and motivating a team whose aim is to serve fresh, interesting and nutritious school meals within the agreed budget
• Developing the social enterprise to deliver an operating surplus from the Orestaurant to support the school budget
• Working with the enterprise functions within the academy to develop revenue-generating opportunities and maximise benefits to the community from these facilities.

• is enthusiastic, hardworking and a creative practitioner;
• is committed to promoting healthy eating;
• has understanding and experience of working with children;
• has experience of catering/cooking.
• has experience of working in a kitchen in a supervisory role;
• is caring and has confidence working with children;
• can work as part of a team and contribute to its development.
