Our vision for our school catering is for ASSET Education Catering to provide nutritious, delicious, and affordable meals to students and staff across our Trust schools. By bringing catering in-house, we can ensure higher quality ingredients, greater menu flexibility, and a stronger focus on student health and well-being. Our team of chefs and catering staff will create a positive dining experience that supports learning and fosters a sense of community. It's ambitious and holistic, focusing on much more than just providing food

Our goals are to:

  • Improve Food Quality: Offer fresh, wholesome meals made with high-quality ingredients.

  • Enhance Nutritional Value: Meet or exceed dietary guidelines for children.

  • Increase Sustainability: Prioritise local, seasonal produce, reduce food waste, and minimise environmental impact.

  • Boost Student Satisfaction: Offer diverse, appealing menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences.

  • Achieve Cost Efficiency: Optimise operations to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

The purpose of this post is to innovate, develop and sustain a high-quality catering provision across our academy Trust. Capture the imagination of our students with the food that we serve, ensuring they engage with the service and have the right type of meals that allow them to flourish and learn. Leadership and management of the catering staff, including assessing and assisting with training and development. Managing the creation of the menus, supply chain and ensuring that Health and Safety, food hygiene and all other statutory obligations are adhered to. Take responsibility for the operational delivery and management of an efficient and financially sustainable catering model.

This contract will be fixed term for one year in the first instance.
